Post 9: Changes to my study programme

Hi everyone!

In this post I will talk about some changes that could be made to my study programme (I am studying geography). First, I think we need a subject in which we can learn to use “Excel”, because is necessary to make many of the works. Besides, know to use this program simplifies the life in many aspects. In respect to the workload, I think is not too hard, but sometimes all the works and test are accumulated at the end of the semester and the workload increase.

On the other hand, the faculty facilities are deficient, from the point of view of the infrastructure, one of the bathrooms is in bad conditions, I mean, the doors don’t close and there are many toilets that doesn’t work, besides the laboratory of geography is very small. On the other hand, when it’s raining, we can’t stay in the yard and there is no a place to stay in winter.

In respect to the use of the technology, I don’t know what to say, I think we don’t have the most advanced technology to work, more than using the computer and work in ArcGIS and we have worked in the laboratory only a few times. In relation to the teaching methods, I believe it can be improving by capacitation.

Finally, I have to say something about the organization, because at the beginning of the semester, in many times the classroom was small and, sometimes in the land works, we haven’t enough material for all.
